This is an excellent time to ask any additional questions. We’ll have you sign consent forms, then send you home with a surgical package. You’ll receive essential recovery items such as a Hibiclens surgical scrub, scar cream, and probiotics.
Surgery & Follow-Up
On the day of your surgery, please arrive at least 2 hours early for a smooth check-in.
After, we’ll prescribe antibiotics and medication to help you recover. We’ll also set up your next-day follow-up so Dr. Hunsicker can check your progress and address your concerns.

Pre-Care Instructions
Maintain a healthy diet filled with rich nutrients and drink plenty of water. On the night of your surgery, do not eat or drink anything after midnight.
Avoid smoking, consuming tobacco products, or drinking alcohol. Use a gentle, fragrance-free soap to cleanse the surgical area.
Post-Care Instructions
Arrange for transportation to and from your appointment, as well as the next day for your follow-up visit. Take prescribed medication as directed. Contact Dr. Hunsicker immediately if you experience bleeding, nausea, or vomiting.
Avoid blowing your nose or putting pressure on the incision area for at least 2 weeks. Limit strenuous activity, such as exercise or lifting objects over 10 lbs.
